The Lindmand Group - Optimizing Performance and Potential

The Lindmand Group - Talent

Talent Selection Management, A Lindmand Group Company, in partnership with TALENT PLUS®*, works with companies to help them create Talent-Based OrganizationsSM*. We describe talent as a person's capacity to achieve near-perfect performance. Our research shows that hiring based on talent results in better, happier workers, which means lower turnover, greater productivity, and a healthier bottom line. Our focus is on strength management. Many organizations focus on trying to strengthen their weakest links. Our philosophy is to strengthen your best and help them become even better performers. We really are able to find the right use for people’s talents. We help our clients see that their intellectual capital - their people - is their only sustainable competitive advantage. This is their brand of the future. What drives us is a commitment from an organization to select the most talented individuals.

The Quality Selection Process®*

The Talent Plus®* Quality Selection Process®* is based on the study of success. Our interviews have been continuously effective in maximizing human potential. The structured interview process can improve the quality of an organization through increased customer satisfaction, sales, profit and retention, as well as productivity per person. The Talent Plus®* Quality Selection Process®*(QSP®*) proprietary technology/interview system is used to identify people who have significant potential to be successful in their client’s particular industry, trade or profession. Once the best performers are identified through QSP®* for a given position, the assessment information obtained through the interview can be utilized for mentoring and retention purposes. Interviews are available for the selection of associates at all levels and in all functions within an organization.

The Talent Formula

(Talent + Fit) x Investment = GrowthSM* One of the fundamental theories we build our selection and development systems around is The Talent Formula. This formula leads to the development of a talent-based organization allowing for the expression of talent to the mutual benefit of the individual and the organization. Talent: A talent is a natural ability not acquired through effort. It results in spontaneous behavior and it can be cultivated to achieve near perfect performance. Fit: "Fit" or "casting" each person in a situation where his or her spontaneous behaviors are utilized for the mutual benefit of the company and the individual is the next step to the success of the growth formula. Core competencies, skills, education and experiences are key considerations in placing an individual. Investment: Individual development and recognition tools are key components when investing in an associate. Implementation of the Talent Plus® developmental technology, focused on strength management, builds on an individual's talents. Mentoring, coaching and training are all components of investment. Growth: With the right combination of talent, fit and investment, growth is maximized to form an integrated strategy for success -- a company's and an individual's.

Themes

Interviews allow us to predict the success of a candidate. Each interview is built around a set of themes. These themes give insight into the behaviors, capabilities, aptitude and potential of a candidate and provide a basis for predictive behavior. A theme is a recurring pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Themes are essential and allow us to better understand a person's talent and potential. Theme analysis is essential in helping an employer determine if a candidate has the talent and fit for a company. Data collected also provides management with tools for developmental strategies.

Talent Benchmarking

Talent Benchmarking

The Interiew

Every Talent Plus®* interview is a validated scientific tool that assists leaders and managers in identifying the talents of an individual so they can select and develop highly productive employees. By investigating the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that contribute to people being or becoming successful, one not only gains a picture of what makes up talent, but how well an individual will perform in certain situations in a specific work position.

To investigate the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of people, Dr. William E. Hall believed it necessary to establish a relationship with the individual being evaluated. Therefore, the interviewee participates in an oral interview that poses a series of open-ended questions. The answers are then evaluated by a trained analyst to determine whether the interviewee has responded to each question in the same manner benchmarked by the most talented people. Talent Plus®* has over 20 binary interviews, and will partner with you to determine which interviews most appropriately meet your needs. Analyst can be trained within your organization to conduct a Binary Interview, or we can provide this service for you. The results of the profile study will be the development of a Talent Benchmark®* unique to your organization. Candidates can be compared to this benchmark, enabling you to identify individuals who are most like proven performers and who exhibit the attributes and behaviors you wish to hire.
